Hotel Operations Intern, FLIK / Warren Conference Center and Inn / Ashland, MA
General Description:
The Hotel Operations Intern will work closely with the Rooms Department Team at The Warren Conference Center and Inn to learn the intricacies of the operations of a unique, quaint Inn from both a sales and operations standpoint. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work directly with all positions within the Inn. Learning functions of Guest Services, Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Night Audit. Additionally, in this role you will learn how to properly set up and manage inventory, set rates and fill vacancies. In order to thrive in this position, you must be able to provide great customer service to clients and guests, have a keen eye for attention to detail, be organized and have the ability to multitask in a fast passed work environment.
Qualifications for Hotel Operations Intern:
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Customer service experience/knowledge
• Must be undergraduate student
• Availability to work evenings and weekends, if needed
• Enjoy building relationships
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Ability to operate multiple computer programs and office equipment
• Experience with PC’s

Job Responsibilities (May include any or all):
- Researching competition
- Organizing and performing housekeeping duties
- Front Desk Operations
- Learning and utilizing Skyware – PMS
- Complete safety training for proper lifting techniques
- Vendor management – Laundry Services
- Assist in staff scheduling
- Assist with inventory management
- Assist in keeping staff motivated to provide the highest standard of service
