Marketing and Business Development Manager
HDG is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Marketing and Business Development Manager to join our growing team in Rockville, MD. The ideal candidate has 5-7 years of experience (preferably in the Architecture/Interior Design industry) and thrives in both independent and collaborative environments. We are looking for someone who is not only creative and energetic with a strong eye for design but also skilled in identifying new business opportunities and building meaningful relationships to help HDG grow. Your day will look like this:
- Work with CEO, directors, and managers to generate and maintain marketing collateral, assist with RFPs, create presentation decks, conduct market research to identify new pursuits
- Assist in developing strategies for business development and marketing.
- Manage marketing resources and efforts to support the strategic positioning of the Tampa studio
- Spearhead and manage industry award submissions
- Manage online marketing communications (create content and design for email marketing, social media, manage company website, etc.) that promotes HDG’s brand.
- Gather, format, and maintain accurate, up-to-date marketing information including staff bios, project descriptions and statistics, research briefs, and other information for marketing purposes
- Help coordinate, and prepare for local and national events and conferences
- Help manage and coordinate internal team building events
- Manage completed project photography needs, including scheduling with photographers, overseeing photoshoots, and creative direction
- Help implement and maintain system for client/contacts database
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- At least 5-7 years of marketing experience (preferably in the Interior Design/Architecture industry)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Excellent follow-up and execution skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines
- Proactive, self-starter who can work well both independently and as part of a team
- A sophisticated design sense with strong graphic abilities
- Strong customer service skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Solid organizational and analytical skills
- Transportation (ability to travel to job sites, photoshoots, industry conferences, etc.)
- Understanding of digital communications tools and trends
- TECHNICAL SKILLS: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), WordPress/Webflow (or similar web management platform), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Social Media, Constant Contact (or similar email marketing platform)

Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000/annually
