Meteorologist/MMJ

Job Summary/Description:

WXIX FOX19 is searching for a dynamic, engaging meteorologist to join our First Alert Weather Team. You must possess superior forecasting and storytelling skills. We are looking for a meteorologist adept in all aspects of meteorology, including forecasting, graphics presentation, digital presentation, social media, and LIVE reporting in the field. You will be responsible for delivering accurate & compelling weather forecasts on our weekend newscasts

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

- Produce/Anchor weekend weather reports on all platforms in a clear, engaging, and impactful manner (will often fill in weekdays)
- Take ownership and execute our First Alert Weather Brand
- Be fluent in the latest weather technology
- Will MMJ environmental/community impact stories
 

Qualifications/Requirements:

- 2 years experience as a broadcast meteorologist/weather anchor
- BS/BA in Meteorology/Journalism/Communications or equivalent background
- Flexibility with respect to scheduling and/or assigned work shifts, especially considering the nature of weather events
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
