Amerisure is currently recruiting for a Mail & Printing Services Operator that can be onsite 5 days a week in our Farmington Hills, Michigan headquarters. The ideal candidate will also possess the following skill set.
Summary Statement
The Mail & Printing Services Operator is responsible for executing a wide range of mail and print services, including processing, printing, collating, and mailing documents. The role also operates and maintains mail services equipment to ensure efficient handling of daily, monthly, and annual print jobs. Receives, sorts, delivers and ships mail and parcels.
Essential Tasks/Major Duties
- Operate various complex, programmable multi-station machines to prepare materials for check and invoice processing ensuring accurate final output.
- Perform mail services functions including distribution of mail and packages, some weighing greater than 70 pounds, and prepare items for mailing/shipping for various shipping carriers.
- Receive print production orders from departments, prioritize and complete requests complying with copy quality standards.
- Receive and process mail from all offices, digitizing and scanning to other departments and individuals.
- Complete tasks to support department objectives such as overflow calls, maintain stock and supplies.
- Collaborate with departments to align requests with mail services best practices and ensure compliance with shipping carrier requirements.
- Arrange for equipment service and preventative maintenance.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- High School diploma or GED. Associates preferred.
- 2 years mail service and/or print shop experience.
- Operation of mail and inserter equipment preferred.
- Demonstrated successful mechanical ability, including diagnostic & simple repair skills.
- Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated successful ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
- Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
- Demonstrated successful ability to perform accurate work under the pressures of tight schedules.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers.
- Able to lift 20-30 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
