Infrastructure Asset Management Coordinator

Develop and maintain the asset management program to update and track the replacement and repair of all Public Works and Utilities assets, including, but not limited to, the reclaimed water treatment facility, water treatment plants, reclaimed water augmentation facility, stormwater pump stations, stormwater collection system, wastewater lift stations, wastewater collection system, water distribution system, and buildings, structures or amenities related to these activities.  The Asset Management Coordinator will work with other City departments to establish an asset hierarchy and identify and address data gaps, service levels, risk assessments, and asset life cycle strategies for sustainable financial planning.

Tasks/Duties:

 

  • Be a subject matter expert for the City’s Asset Management Program, which is currently based on Munis/Tyler software.
  • Assist the various Division Managers in tracking repairs for the assets under their responsibility, including ensuring procurement requisitions are connected to specific assets, if applicable, so that accurate historical repair information is available to assist in making informed future repair decisions.
  • Assist the various Division Managers in adding new or replacement assets under their responsibility into the system, including warranty info, Operations and Maintenance Manuals, and recommend maintenance requirements.
  • Work towards expanding asset data suitable for use in creating a digital twin.
  • Determines the current condition and value of assets.
  • Support Public Works Procurement and Accounting staff as needed with the following tasks: obtain written and verbal quotes, assist and develop specifications for materials, equipment, and services. Complete requisitions for installation, repairs, and maintenance of equipment, parts, and materials as needed.
  • Assist in the property control inventory for all Public Works and Utilities Divisions.
  • Assist in the scheduling and development of training and safety programs.
  • Provide training and assist in using the computerized maintenance management system (Munis /Tyler) software to generate, enter, and track all work orders for the installation, maintenance, and repairs of all equipment and scheduled preventative/maintenance events.
  • Maintain the overall asset equipment list (serial numbers, manufacturer, model, etc.) as the equipment is added, deleted, or modified.
  • Maintain and update MSDS records as required for Public Works.
  • Ability to function effectively without direct supervision.
  • Be available to respond to emergency call-outs and maintain emergency vendor contact information.
  • In the event of an emergency, all employees are considered essential and may be required to perform duties outside of their normal job description.
  • Complete required trainings as specified within the City Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
 

  • College Degree in Engineering Technology, Asset Management, GIS, or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of asset management or related experience.
  • Working knowledge of budgeting, accounting, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and e-mail.

Valid driver’s license. Must obtain State of Florida driver license within thirty days of employment.


PREFERABLE QUALIFICATIONS: 
 

  • Institute of Asset Management Certificate required within 12 months
