
Marketing & Development Intern
Job Overview
The Indiana Bar Foundation is seeking a Marketing & Development Intern who will assist with various aspects of communications, content creation, and event support to further the Foundation’s mission. Primary responsibilities will include securing silent auction items for the 75th Anniversary Celebration Gala, developing engaging content for social media, designing informative one-pagers, and assisting with event preparation and execution.
This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once. This is an 18-hour/week position that will start on June 3 and end on July 24.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Solicit and secure 25+ silent auction items, then package and enter them into an online bidding system.
- Design a variety of thank you notes that can be personalized for donors.
- Create 2-3 social media posts weekly, including written and visual content.
- Help prepare for the Foundation’s summer events (Summer Institute and Annual Meeting & Awards Luncheon) & assist with events by prepping materials, setting up, and staffing registration desks.
- Research partner organizations’ marketing materials and social media to generate new ideas.
- Gather information and compile data to design and create one-pagers for various civic education and civil legal assistance programs.
- Interview stakeholders, create videos, and make blog posts to promote the Foundation’s mission.
- Participate in cross-department meetings to better understand the Foundation’s mission.
- Attend an Indiana Supreme Court Oral Argument.
- Attend a Federal Courthouse tour and Q & A with a Federal Court Judge.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience, Abilities, Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; some college experience is preferred.
- Evidence of strong interpersonal skills and commitment to superior customer service.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.
- Experience using Canva or Adobe Suite preferred.
- Commitment to supporting the Foundation’s mission and community impact.
