Purpose of Position:
The primary function of the Marketing/Content Creation Intern is to assist with special projects that promote messaging about the ReliabilityFirst’s mission and culture to maintain the reliability of the electrical grid and highlight their impact to the community. This position will serve a key role by providing a new perspective to the organization’s marketing objectives and by collaborating with the Senior Director of Corporate Services to identify potential gaps and solutions in marketing strategies. This position reports to the Senior Director of Corporate Services and will be onboarded as a part of the summer internship program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify new marketing opportunities through market research/trend analysis and further identify opportunities to bring more internet traffic to our website via search engine optimization
- Assist with internal communications via template creation, graphics design, or refinement of internal email communication to be more dynamic or aesthetically appealing
- Work closely with the Senior Director of Corporate Services to plan and implement internal marketing campaigns for the organization
- Create content for social media and update/create content for website that will increase public awareness of the organization’s mission and resources for the community
- Provide support to HR in organizing and promoting internal events and trainings using creative techniques
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, business, graphics design, or other related fields that would result in the ability to fulfill the responsibilities of this role
- OR 1-3 years of experience in marketing/content creation that would result in the ability to fulfill the responsibilities of this role
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 360
- Ability to work independently and time manage
- Experience with WordPress
Desirable:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools
- Experience with multiple types of media creation from graphics designing to video editing
