Laborer (AX1690)

Education:  High School Diploma or GED

 

Months/Years of Experience:  None

 

Required Qualifications:  U.S. Citizen. Must possess a driver’s license. Must be at least 18 years old and be able to obtain a security clearance. The Laborer performs tasks that require mainly physical abilities and effort involving little or no specialized skill or prior work experience. The following tasks are typical of this occupation: The Laborer loads and unloads trucks, moves supplies and materials to proper location, stacks materials for storage or binning, collects refuse and salvageable materials. The Laborer excavates, shovels, buries cables, cleans culverts and ditches, cuts tree and brush; operates power lawnmowers. The Laborer moves and arranges heavy pieces of test equipment and range assets and other types of machinery. The Laborer cleans up range and laboratories following test execution.

 

Desired Qualifications:  Be able to work outdoors. Self-motivated. Not prone to being sea-sick, duties may require observation from boats on the river.

 

Duties:  Grounds maintenance to include but not limited to mowing, trimming, weeding

• Operating power tools/equipment to include but not limited to various mowers, weed-eaters, blowers

• General maintenance of facilities to include but not limited to painting and basic housekeeping responsibilities

• Boat riders for range clearance

 

Comments:  Compliance with health mandates as dictated by the contract may be required as a condition of employment.
