Special Events Intern II
The intern will assist, perform or shadow the following:
Clerical duties such as filing, shredding, data entry, inventory management.
General Planning: assist with creating plans, timelines, analyze data, identify risks.
Inventory Management: assistance with equipment check outs and stockroom organization
Research innovative event strategies and marketing trends
Assist with graphic design needs. Ability to use graphic design software like Canva.
Other duties as assigned
The desired student should have to:
Knowledge of recreation principles, marketing, social media, graphic design, event management
Strong foundational knowledge in a field relevant to internship.
Ability to think strategically in fast-paced environments.
Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed, which includes working evenings, weekends, and some holidays, including in adverse weather conditions, and in a standing position outdoors for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift at least 30 pounds to move supplies and equipment
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse audience of County employees and citizens integral to the internship.
Excellent organization and research skills with the ability to collect and organize facts/tasks effectively.
Excellent attention to details; excellent knowledge of and familiarity with computer systems with demonstrated proficiency in the use of a personal computer and common software (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point).
Ability to multitask and manage priorities; ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a part of a team; and ability to meet assigned deadlines
