Graphic Design Intern

As a Graphic Design Intern, you will work closely with our Marketing team on various projects to enhance the visual identity and impact of Great Parks initiatives. This internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment where you will contribute to developing marketing materials, digital content, and promotional assets that support our agency’s goals.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating visually engaging graphics and layouts for print and digital media, including flyers, banners, signage, and social media content.
- Collaborate with the Creative Director and marketing team members to brainstorm and develop creative concepts that align with Great Parks’ brand and project goals.
- Support the Marketing Department with tasks such as image editing, layout adjustments, and file preparation for production.
- Contribute to developing and maintaining design standards and brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all channels.
- Participate in team meetings and provide input on design strategies, project timelines, and deliverables.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining department standards.
- Positively represent Great Parks.
- Assist with special events and other tasks as assigned by the Creative Director.
- Accountable to uphold, demonstrate, and promote positive and respectful interdependent working relationships across the division and organization.
- Demonstrate flexibility, openness to change, and a willingness to collaborate as needed to advance the mission of Great Parks. Perform job duties in accordance with Great Parks' policies, procedures and performance expectations.
- Work assigned schedule, exhibits regular and punctual attendance.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- Currently in good standing with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Must be able to work from our Winton Centre location.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to document identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements.
License of Certification Requirements:
State Motor Vehicle Operator’s License that meets GPHC current carrier guidelines.
