TEACh Strong 2025-Math and Science

 

Miami-Dade County Public Schools is currently accepting applications for the TEACh Strong Math and Science.

 

Purpose

Prepare and equip participants to teach math or science in high-needs secondary schools and make an immediate impact on the students they will serve. 

 

Overview

Participate in an intensive six-week summer training (June and July) with enrichment programs, hands-on work experience, and a comprehensive professional development curriculum. Upon successfully completing the program, associates will receive a competitive stipend of $3,500 paid in three installments, with the final payment issued 60 days after full-time employment. Upon meeting all Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) pre-employment requirements, participants will be hired into FT teaching positions with the District in one of our high-needs schools.

 

Minimum requirements:

 

  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree in a Math or Science field OR a passing score on any of the following Subject Area Exams. For detailed testing information, visit http://www.fl.nesinc.com

 

  • Biology (6-12)
  • Middle Grades Math (5-9)
  • Chemistry (6-12)
  • Middle Grades Science (5-9)
  • Math (6-12)
  • Physics (6-12)

 

  • Candidate cannot have prior teaching experience as a full-time teacher in K-12 classroom.

  • Commitment to apply to the Florida Department of Education for certification before full-time hire - not required for acceptance into the program.
