IT Operations Coordinator

The IT Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site IT Operations. This role involves supporting students, faculty, and staff in utilizing technology efficiently, maintaining hardware and software, and ensuring the smooth operations of all IT systems. Working as a member of the School Operations Team, key responsibilities of the IT Coordinator include, but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the school and the school’s IT provider
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the outsourced IT provider, including quality service delivery
  • Assist with overseeing installation, configuration, and maintenance of new systems and hardware
  • Overseeing & maintaining school printers, copy machines, etc.
  • Coordinate regular infrastructure audits to ensure hardware and software are up to date and functioning properly
  • Support with all onsite technology troubleshooting 
  • Track and document all IT support issues and ensure resolution in a timely manner
  • Monitor, track, and inventory all in-house technology (student Chromebooks, staff laptops, smart boards, etc.)
  • Assist in the evaluation and selection of new technologies, tools, and software that meet the needs of both students and staff
  • Works with 3rd party vendors to repair devices
  • Work with the Operations Team and IT Provider to create, implement, and maintain IT policies and procedures school-wide
  • Ensure that staff and faculty are educated on and follow the school’s IT policies
  • Manages all IT tickets in collaboration with the IT provider to ensure all tickets are being resolved within a timely manner
  • Support the Operations Team with other tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support or IT management, preferably in a charter school setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong work ethic and “roll up my sleeves” attitude 
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred

Starting Salary: $65,000
