Assistant Concession Manager – Seasonal

Rate: $12.00/hour – starting rate based on prior experience and education

Location: Fairport Harbor Lakefront Park, Fairport Harbor, OH 44077

Position Description: 

Under direction of the Outdoor Education Manager, the Assistant Concession Manager, assists in managing the operations of the concession stand, paddle rental and gate.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supervises concession, paddle rental and gate staff, schedules staff, trains staff, and takes inventory. 
• Prepares and serves food items to the public, provides exceptional customer service, keeps areas clean, complies with local health codes and food safety practices. 
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Prior experience in food industry preferred. 
• Prior management experience preferred.
• Food Safety Certification, or ability to obtain required; training will be provided as necessary. 
• First Aid and CPR Certification, or ability to obtain required; training will be provided as necessary.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain dependable and keep a positive attitude. 
• Ability to handle money appropriately.
• Ability to interact with others with tact and courtesy and maintain integrity and appropriate behavior in dealing with conflicts and challenges with the public, co-workers, and managers.
• Proficiency in computer software programs including Microsoft Office Suite and POS.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Variable work schedule, up to 40 hours per week.
• May be occasionally required to work flexible hours, weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Must possess a valid drivers’ license and insurable on the Agency’s liability policy. Pre-employment background check required.
