A Betterway Rent a Car dba Budget Rent a Car is seeking highly motivated individuals for our Manager Trainee program. This role offers hands-on experience in managing a rental car operation, focusing on leadership, business, sales, and customer service. This position requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to evolving priorities and responsibilities.  Success in this role can lead to long-term growth in leadership positions within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily rental car operations, including inventory, fleet maintenance, and admin tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming branch environment.
  • Optimize fleet availability and condition in collaboration with other departments.
  • Manage staffing, resources, and logistics to meet customer demands.
  • Address and overcome challenges such as vehicle shortages and scheduling conflicts.
  • Recommend appropriate products and services to enhance customer experience and drive revenue.
  • Promote the Betterway Rewards program to encourage repeat business.
  • Address customer concerns professionally and proactively.
  • Follow up with customers for feedback and continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed about local trends and competitor offerings.
  • Set and achieve sales goals while motivating staff.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Age 21+
  • Flexible schedule
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree (in any discipline) is preferred
  • Strong understanding of business management, financial, & leadership principles
  • Highly motivated and self-disciplined
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership & conflict resolution skills
