Reports to:                   Controller

Summary:                    The primary focus of this position is account payable, general ledger, cost accounting practices/procedures, and daily accounting functions.  The Accounting Intern will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of accounting in a real-world business environment. 

Responsibilities:           Specific duties are intended to describe activities that support the summary above.  The list is not all inclusive – other duties may be required to cover the breadth and depth of the position.

• Support Accounting team in daily tasks.
• Entering invoices into ERP system, which includes but not limited to uploading support documents.
• Assist with streamlining current AP procedures.
• Assist with developing reconciliation process.
• Assist in documentation of processes.
• Assist with cost accounting functions to include material maintenance and creating new parts in ERP system.

Requirements:              

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft applications.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Creative thinking and eagerness to learn.
