Veterinary Technician

Oldwick Animal Hospital is an established, locally-owned small-animal general veterinary practice committed to providing the best possible care and service. We are proud to be AAHA-accredited and offer medical, surgical, and dental care, as well as acupuncture and integrative medicine.

We’re seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate would already have meaningful experience as a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant and possess technical skills we can build upon. We will consider both full-time and part-time applicants.

We offer competitive pay (rate dependent upon qualifications) and benefits in a beautiful state-of-the-art facility. Must work some Saturdays, but no overnights, Sundays or major holidays. Health insurance and other benefits are offered for full-time employees.

The Veterinary Technician assists in exam rooms, takes medical histories, performs treatments, administers medications, performs venipuncture, preps for and assists in surgery, fills prescriptions, runs in-house laboratory, operates and maintains all medical equipment, and maintains accurate and detailed medical records. Physical demands of the job include being able to lift approximately 50 pounds, walk dogs of up to 130 pounds, and work on your feet.
