
Environmental Engineer, Geologist, Environmental Scientist

Key candidates should have motivation, effective writing skills, effective communication skills, and experience navigating regulation and law. Knowledge of air quality use rules, surface water quality rules, Part 201, Part 213, and Part 615 of Act 451 of 1994 (as amended), is a plus.
This is a fulltime position. 40 hours Monday through Friday; infrequently may require additional hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines while assisting in execution planning and subcontractor procurement.
- Oversee field operations, including environmental sampling, subcontractor management, and emergency response coordination.
- Conduct remediation system maintenance, compliance evaluations, and regulatory reporting.
- Support project management with cost control, scheduling, and subcontractor reviews.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and effective communication with clients and agencies.
- Balance office-based reporting and analysis (40%) with fieldwork (60%) across industrial and commercial projects.
Skills / Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science or related field. EIT, P.E., P.G, or CPG preferable (or willingness to attain license).
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written, and organizational abilities.
- Willingness and ability to interact with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and clients and develop effective teamwork relationships.
- Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours as required.
- Ability and willingness to travel to project sites primarily in Michigan and surrounding states in the Great Lakes area. Approximately 10% overnight travel.
- OSHA HAZWOPER 40 hour training in accordance with 29CFR 1910.120.
- Must pass drug test, entrance physical, background check, and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy.
