SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS - UINTA COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT #4 – MOUNTAIN VIEW, WY

Uinta County School District #4, Mountain View, Wyoming, is accepting applications for a superintendent of schools. The candidate should demonstrate successful teaching, management, administrative and instructional leadership skills and possess high moral character to inspire and lead a school district that expects and supports a comprehensive educational program for its students. The salary will be not less than $140,000 and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Uinta County School District #4 is situated in central Uinta County and serves the community of Mountain View and the surrounding area.  Nestled amidst the breathtaking beauty of the Uinta Mountains in southwestern Wyoming, Mountain View offers a unique blend of small-town charm, outdoor adventure, and a thriving economy. With a population of just over 1,200 residents, this close-knit community provides a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere, where neighbors know each other and community spirit is strong. Mountain View’s economy is diverse and resilient with key sectors including agriculture, energy, tourism, and a variety of small businesses. Mountain View is an outdoor paradise, offering endless opportunities for hiking, fishing, camping, hunting, and wildlife viewing. The nearby Flaming Gorge Reservoir is a haven for water sports enthusiasts, while the Uinta Mountains provide challenging trails for hikers and backpackers. Mountain View offers a strong sense of community, where residents are actively involved in local events and initiatives.

Uinta County School District #4 serves approximately 685 students in three schools that offer a comprehensive educational program for students in grades K through 12.  The educational program is fueled by the energy of an active and informed Board of Trustees, an experienced and dedicated staff, and interested and participating parents and community members. The district is fully accredited by the Wyoming Department of Education and serves the students, families, and communities of central Uinta County.
