About the Opportunity
As a Research Associate in our Chemical Biology group, you will support a range of mass spectrometry-based activities by developing and running bioanalytical methods and assays for multiple programs at various stages.

The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, creative, and motivated by a career in analytical drug discovery. You should have a strong foundation in mass spectrometry and its applications in a drug discovery setting. Prior experience in drug discovery and bioanalysis is preferred, but training will be provided for candidates with strong potential. Level can be flexible based on experience. 
 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare samples for general bioanalytical and ADME assessments for mass spectrometry-based analysis.
  • Develop and validate analytical methods to quantify small molecules and metabolites from various biological matrices.
  • Assist with routine maintenance and upkeep on mass spectrometers and liquid chromatography systems to ensure they are operating at peak performance.
  • Efficiently generate, analyze, and present data reports to project teams, as well as upload to the internal database.
  • Work closely with project teams in the design and execution of studies supporting discovery programs, prioritizing work for execution against timelines.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with approximately 2 years related experience in the contract research or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience with both Thermo Fisher and Agilent instrumentation/software is desirable.
  • Self-starter and eager to learn new skills and techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in the use of standard software including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
