Position: Seasonal Camp Lifeguard
Location: Anisfield Day Camp (Burton, OH)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Compensation: Competitive pay with a sliding pay scale based on experience and certifications

J-Day Day Camps is seeking seasonal lifeguards to ensure a safe and fun waterfront experience for our campers at our Burton Location. Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and ensure the safety of campers and staff at the waterfront (lake and/or pool).
• Enforce all safety guidelines and camp policies.
• Respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies.
• Conduct regular headcounts, swim tests, and safety drills.
• Assist with swim lessons and waterfront activities as needed.
• Maintain a positive, friendly, and professional attitude with campers and staff.
• Perform daily safety checks and routine maintenance of lifeguard equipment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Current Lifeguard Certification (Red Cross, YMCA, or equivalent) required.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required.
• Previous lifeguard experience preferred but not required.
• Strong swimming ability and comfort working in an outdoor waterfront environment.
• Ability to stay alert, react quickly, and handle emergency situations professionally.
• A team player with excellent communication and leadership skills.
