Assistant Teacher

Easterseals Central and Southeast Ohio, Inc. hosts an after-school program in partnership with Franklin County Department of Jobs and Family Services and South-Western City School District. We are looking to hire a talented assistant teacher who will actively assist school age students with arts and crafts, physical education, and social emotional learning activities.

Job Duties:

· Assist with daily activities such as artwork, music, free play/physical education.

· Help implement lesson plans and work individually with children.

· Supervise and assist the students to ensure their safety and comfort in outside play, classroom activities, bathroom needs, and any other duties as directed.

· Assist in operational activities such as daily materials preparation, correspondence to parents, meal services, attendance, etc.

· Assist with the routine cleaning of the program areas.

· Perform other duties as assigned by the School Age Programs Manager.

Education:

· High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)

Qualifications:

· Experience working with children in a school age or summer camp setting preferred

· First Aid and CPR certification or eligibility to obtain required certifications

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds
