Outside Services Attendant – Seasonal
Rate: $12.00/hour – starting rate based on prior experience and education
Location: Pine Ridge Country Club, Wickliffe, OH 44092
Position Description:
Under direction of the Senior Golf Course Manager, the Outside Services Attendant works with staff to assure a smooth transition for all members and guests and assists with setup and execution of golf outings and leagues.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provides sincere and courteous service to members and public golfers.
- Performs general cart barn duties: removes debris, gases and power washes, wipes and dries carts.
- Brings out carts in the morning for staging and puts carts away in the evening.
- Checks all outgoing and incoming carts for damage.
- Reports damaged and malfunctioned carts to the pro shop.
- Replaces scorecards and pencils on clean carts.
- Performs golf course duties including: picks up broken tees and fixes divots on the tee boxes, repairs ball marks on greens, picks up sticks and debris; empties waste baskets on course, and fills seed boxes on the tees.
- Performs general upkeep of the golf course during slow cart times.
- Enforces all golf course rules, etiquette and policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years old.
Position Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of golf preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to interact with others with tact and courtesy and maintain integrity and appropriate behavior in dealing with conflicts and challenges with the public, co-workers, and managers.
- Proficiency in computer software programs including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Variable work schedule as the Golf Course is open 7 days per week, sunup to sundown; golf positions are weather dependent.
- May be occasionally required to work flexible hours, weekends, evenings and holidays.
- Seasonal role usually works a morning and early afternoon shift from March until end of the season, customarily ending during the month of November.
- Must possess a valid drivers’ license and insurable on the Agency’s liability policy. Background check required.
