Seasonal Intern

The Seasonal Intern (SI) will work closely with the Trial Managers as well as the
Research Farm Manager to ensure the successful execution of trials. The SI will play an integral role in all aspects of trial execution including treatment preparation and application, planting, data collection, plant sampling, plot maintenance, harvest, and all other tasks associated with row crop production. The SI will also serve in a supervisory role for seasonal work crews.
Responsibilities & Duties:
 Utilize technology and modern software tools to conduct field research experiments.
 Follow specific protocols to execute trials and collect data.
 Assist with research projects and activities, including preparation for planting, treatment
application, data collection, and harvest.
 Work overtime/weekends during critical periods including planting, pollination, and harvest.
 Operate agricultural & research equipment.
 Provide quality assurance for seasonal employees.
 Contribute to maintaining a safe and respectful work environment.
 Provide support and management for other projects as assigned.
