Camp Counselor
Whether your passion is sports, the arts, theatre, education, lifeguarding or outdoor adventures, we have a place for you this summer. As a counselor, supervisor or specialist, you will mentor and make a positive impact on kids who are entering kindergarten through grades 8, all while earning a salary and connecting with other young adults. What you do at camp can shape the rest of your life. Not only will you create lifelong friendships with your fellow staff members, but you will gain important experience that can be applied to any career path.
A counselor’s primary responsibility is their group of campers. Counselors are responsible for facilitating the daily routine, planning, leading and participating in activities and programs for campers. Counselors serve as a mentor, coach, and teacher to campers and are responsible for their physical, social, and emotional health, safety, and well-being. A successful summer for a camper is almost always tied directly to the relationship they develop with their counselor. Counselors must have patience, empathy, enthusiasm, and creativity as well as great listening and communication skills.
