Commodity Risk Management Intern
The Commodity Risk Management Intern will contribute to the development of a visual commodity risk dashboard to assist in decision-making for commodity entry points. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data analysis, risk management, and dashboard creation, providing valuable insights to support corporate purchasing strategies.
- Develop a visual commodity risk dashboard, including numeric data, gauges, and charts.
- Design tools for drilling down to individual commodities and rolling up to corporate risk.
- Create databases of key variables with easy-update functions.
- Collaborate with internal and external SMEs to outline commodity influences and determine the weighting of variables.
- Test and refine dashboard iterations based on feedback from stakeholders.
Education:
- Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Coursework in Economics, including macro/microeconomics and futures markets.
- Data analysis experience, including Excel data analytics.
- Proficiency in Python programming (required).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
- Work involves light exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, and/or noise.
- Moderate physical effort required, such as standing, sitting, and walking in and around the office; the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Personal protective equipment, as defined by C.H. Guenther and Son, will be provided.

Housing Stipend: A housing stipend is available to interns whose primary residence is 50 or more miles from the internship location
