Site Coordinator for 21st Century Program
Located in fourteen schools, Manchester's 21st Century Program supports student learning and growth by providing academic support and enrichment/recreational activities in after school and summer programming. The program operates Monday through Friday, 2:50-5:00 in elementary schools and 2:20 to 5:20 in middle schools, from early September to the end of the school year. Program staff include teachers, paraeducators, part-time hourly and a full-time site coordinator. Staff work with and support the students in their activities and provide a safe and welcoming environment.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- A minimum of an Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience in lieu of degrees will be considered.
- Experience with after school programs and working with children.
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage the site budget and collect fees in a consistent process aligned with audit specifications.
- A desire to provide extended learning time in a defined structure for students that results in better school performance.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google applications.
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
Specific Core Function: Provide leadership and management for an assigned 21st CCLC program site, including directing day-to-day operations, managing staffing, developing, programming activities and building relationships with the school community.
Responsibilities of the Position:
- Plan, develop, implement and evaluate site programs, services and activities in cooperation with the program director and within the scope of the 21st CCLC grant goals and objectives.
- In collaboration with the program director, develops and manages site program budget, including staff scheduling, administration and timely submission of stipend sheets and hourly time records, purchasing and inventory of supplies and materials, and the intake of program fees and deposits in compliance with policy and procedure.
- Assure the safety of each child involved in the program.
- Ensure the accurate registration of students and adult participants in 21st CCLC programs.
- Actively recruit students who are recommended for the program by teachers, counselors and administrators.
- Utilize program data systems software to accurately record student attendance and program statistical data.
- Collect and document all objectives, outcomes, student data and other information as needed in reports to the program director.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with school and community stakeholders, including parent contact.
- Recruit teacher and paraprofessional educators for program staff.
- Maintain routine contact with principals, teachers, afterschool staff and volunteers to discuss issues, challenges and opportunities for collaboration.
- Demonstrate flexibility and ability to manage challenging situations, including helping to monitor and supervise students during the afterschool program.
- Accurately implements 21st CCLC snack program in conjunction with MSD USDA food services.
- Assist in the program's grant writing and fundraising/development efforts.
- Work cooperatively with all partnering agencies and assist in recruiting new partnerships.
- Promote the 21st CCLC program in the assigned school and community.
- Attend all staff meetings and trainings as required.
- Ensure all Manchester School District and 21st CCLC policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Attend and participate in all Manchester School District and NH Department of Education meetings, workshops and trainings.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the program director.
Supervisory Responsibilities – Required Special Qualifications: Oversight and supervision of program staff and volunteer, including stipend positions and part-time hourly workers.
Terms of Employment:
- This is a non-affiliated 200-day schedule. 30 hours per week. This is a non-affiliated position with benefits.
Annual Salary: $31,700
