Pay: $16/hr - $18/hr
BioRESEARCH Assoc. Inc., a medical device manufacturer, is looking to hire a seasonal part-time design and production intern. Education or experience with oscilloscopes, ISO 13485, or writing work instructions/diagrams is preferred but we encourage all conscientious detail-oriented individuals to apply as we are willing to train the right applicant.
This is a seasonal part-time internship with a flexible schedule that can be tailored to work around other scheduled commitments in your life. Expect to be in-office about 20 hours per week. This is your opportunity to work with a professional, determined, and dedicated team of engineers committed to providing high-quality diagnostic aids to clinicians treating craniofacial pain and disfunction.
We are looking to fill this position immediately. This would be an ideal position for someone who wants to pursue education in the medical device/electronics field.
Preferred Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, a related field, working towards one of the aforementioned fields, or acceptable equivalent experience.
Preferred Experience
- Minimum of [6] months of experience in product design and development or acceptable equivalent experience.
- Basic experience in electrical and mechanical design.
- Some experience with prototyping and testing.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as ISO 13485 and ISO 14971 for medical devices (preferred).
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the development of new wireless iteration of products.
- Design and develop electrical and mechanical components for new products.
- Collaborate with programming and regulatory teams to ensure product compliance.
- Assist in research and development activities to improve product performance and efficiency.
- Create detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Develop and execute test protocols for product validation.
- Analyze test data and make recommendations for design improvements.
- Estimate and manage project budgets and timelines.
- Assist in the manufacturing process and ensure product quality.
- Provide technical support for production and repair services as needed.
- Be part of a team of engineers or technicians (if applicable).
- Be a supporting member of the company’s Complaint Handling Unit (CHU), under the “Engineering” role.
- Be an assisting member of the CAPA Review Board (CRB), under the “Engineering” role.
