Helios Healthcare Advisors (“Helios”) is an independent corporate finance advisory firm that provides strategic and financial advice to middle-market participants in the healthcare real estate sector. Headquartered in Chicago, the firm serves individuals, private enterprises, corporations, and financial institutions nationally.
Our Associate program offers candidates the opportunity to work full-time post-graduation and to build professional experience in sales within the healthcare real estate sell-side advisory and capital markets industries.
As an Associate at Helios, you will be part of a sales organization that markets and originates both investment sales and capital markets advisory assignments. The goal of this role is to assist senior leaders at the firm to market their engagements, while utilizing repeatedly-tested outreach strategies to build the associate’s own client-base.
The ideal candidate will be disciplined, self-motivated, and considering a career in commercial real estate sales and/or finance.
All Associates will participate in an accelerated training program prior to the start of the role. During this period, team members will attain the necessary professional licenses and build a foundation of industry knowledge to prepare them for success once their role begins. Training will be conducted by experienced senior team members with participation from partners at the firm’s Chicago office.

Role Objective:
- Assist with marketing current firm engagements by contacting prospective purchasers and/or capital partners and presenting opportunities.
- Find and generate leads through outbound calling campaigns, emails, external meetings, and any other sales channels available.
- Identify prospective clients through new deal viability analysis.
- Tailor sales efforts by studying existing clients and potential viability of new assignments with assistance from senior staff.
- Create origination goals and business plan to achieve desired results.
- Continue to further the Associate’s understanding of capital markets and general corporate finance advisory with a focus on healthcare real estate.
Candidate Background and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; 3.00+ GPA.
- Classroom/professional experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Startup minded: high energy, self-starter that is comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous sales or professional experience a plus, however not required.
- excellent communication skills while maintaining professional persistence with each prospective customer.
- Having a positive mindset
- Ability to collaborate and be open minded.
- Proper licensing obtained through the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation (Real Estate Division). Helios will provide applicable support to obtain this, and reimburse candidate for all costs upon completion.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary + uncapped commission and bonus structure, after training and professional license is attained; flexible schedule during training program.
