The Airport Operations Planning position is part of the Customer Service Policy and Planning department which provides analytical support to airport operations. Our team works directly with operations leadership and various departments to ensure the airports are properly staffed and follows set policy and procedures.
The ideal candidate has the following qualities:
- Leads by example; has been given top performance reviews from previous management and comes highly recommended
- Has demonstrated ability to independently complete projects/assignments from inception to full implementation
- Has a passion for people leadership and enjoys the challenges of helping others succeed
- Must be able to work on multiple projects with tight timelines
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain airport staffing models to analyze staffing requirements to provide accurate headcount forecasts
- Identify, analyze and recommend solutions to airport workforce issues and build strategies to optimize staffing efficiencies
- Conduct station observations to monitor compliance with various regulations and audit controls
- Initializes and reviews investigations and safety risk assessments
- Work closely with airport leadership to provide support and evaluate changes to staffing practices, policies and procedures
- Conduct analysis on staffing and system trends, prepare reports, and may be assigned to various adhoc projects
- Lead and/or own many of the day-to-day tasks and ongoing projects including providing support for other analysts
Who are we looking for?
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management, Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience/training
- Highly proficient in use of Microsoft Office software, including Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with an aptitude for problem solving
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to travel extensively with short notice
