Ellsworth Corporation, a global, industry leading distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment and adhesive manufacturer currently has an Accounting Internship available. This role will work with several divisions located in Germantown, WI. This is a full-time summer internship opportunity (approximately 12 weeks).
What Our Internship Program Will Do for You
As an intern, you will take your studies and continue to build your skills. You will be provided an individualized work plan that will guide you throughout the program, allowing you to make an impact to the business. Throughout this opportunity, you will receive coaching from your manager and mentor. You will have an opportunity to learn about our company, while working alongside a team of experienced professionals in the field. You will have the chance to participate in a variety of activities and projects designed to give you exposure to our business.

Examples of Internship Projects
- Budgeting Templates and Tools – Design user-friendly templates and tools to support accurate and efficient annual budget planning
- Tax Compliance – Analyze sales data against state nexus thresholds to identify filing obligations, draft recommendations, and assist with initial filings or registrations for new state tax accounts
- Payables Best Practices – Gain hand-on experience in accounts payable processing while collaborating with divisions to document workflows and identify opportunities to streamline and optimize practices
- Fixed Assets Management – Support accurate tracking, reporting, and reconciliation of fixed assets, including assistance with physical audits and process improvements
- Sales Forecasting – Support annual sales planning process by analyzing customer opportunities and impacts to sales budgeting
- Vendor Contract Management – Analyze vendor price support rebates and ensure accurate reporting and compliance to agreements
- Analysis of key reporting metrics – Gathering data from multiple sources to provide analysis and insight into trends that can help improve data provided to management.
- Potential Exposure to Other Accounting Areas: engage with additional accounting functions such as receivables, month-end close and reporting, master record maintenance, and more
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited university or college required
- Completion of sophomore year and junior year standing preferred
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team and work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
