Social Media and Influencer Marketing Intern

Jona Social Media & Influencer Marketing Intern

Jona is seeking a highly motivated Social Media & Influencer Marketing Intern with strong video and content creation skills to enhance our social media presence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our brand’s growth by developing engaging content, executing influencer partnerships, and fostering community engagement. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our Marketing team, including the Social Media Manager, Customer Experience team, and Chief Commercial Officer, to bring Jona’s mission to life across social platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of social media, influencer, and brand marketing campaigns that educate audiences on gut microbiome science and wellness.
  • Create compelling content for Instagram (Posts, Stories, Reels) and TikTok to drive product awareness, brand engagement, and influencer marketing initiatives.
  • Manage and maintain a content calendar to ensure strategic and consistent brand messaging.
  • Identify, engage, and build relationships with health and wellness influencers and content creators.
  • Monitor social media analytics to assess performance and optimize content strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Growth Marketing, Sales, Product, and Customer Experience, to align messaging and business objectives.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activities to refine and innovate content strategies.

  • Passion for social media, digital marketing, and the health and wellness industry.
  • Strong storytelling skills with an ability to craft engaging, brand-aligned content.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinker with an analytical mindset to measure content impact and effectiveness.
  • Proficiency in Instagram and TikTok content creation and editing tools.
  • Experience managing social media accounts (please provide links or examples).
  • Familiarity with Canva, CapCut, Later/Planoly, influencer marketing platforms (e.g., GRIN, CreatorIQ), Google Analytics, and G Suite.
  • Previous experience in e-commerce, digital health, or startups is strongly preferred.
  • Bonus: Existing relationships with influencers or content creators in the wellness and lifestyle space.
