Accounting Intern

Position Responsibilities:
- Enter material and supply accounts payable invoices in accounting software program(s)
- Sort and distribute electronic invoices to Project Managers and Management teams for approval
- Assist with posting credit card transactions
- Contact vendors to request invoices
- Review vendor statements to identify any missing invoices
Required Skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
- Keen attention to detail and a high level of initiative and ability to work independently
- Desire to learn construction industry accounting practices
Required Experience
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Candidates must have completed two introductory accounting classes
- Candidates be working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
