Marketing Associate

SUMMARY OF POSITION FUNCTION: 

As a Marketing Associate at Once Again Nut Butter Collective, you will play a pivotal role in driving brand growth and consumer engagement for our organic, sustainable, and ethically sourced nut butter products. This position involves supporting marketing initiatives, managing campaigns, and analyzing performance metrics to enhance brand awareness and loyalty. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including the sales department, to ensure a cohesive brand message while promoting the company's mission of sustainability and community impact.

This role is ideal for a creative, results-oriented individual passionate about marketing and making a difference through sustainable, high-quality products.

ESSENTIAL/MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Supporting and Overseeing Marketing Efforts
    • Coordinate and oversee the creation of content for social media, PR, email campaigns, and the company website.
    • Ensure consistency and alignment with brand guidelines across all marketing materials.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members involved in campaign execution, including designers and photographers.
    • Monitor campaign performance and provide recommendations for optimization.
    • Support community engagement efforts by fostering relationships with consumers, customers, influencers, and community organizations.
    • Manage consumer relations by collaborating with customer service and QA on consumer inquiries and complaints

 

 

 

  1. Market Research and New Product Development Support
    • Conduct research to understand industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer preferences.
    • Provide insights to inform marketing strategies and product positioning.
    • Collaborate with the product development team to provide market insights and customer feedback.
    • Work with Marketing Director to support R&D/business development and label development for the Once Again brand.
    • Proofread marketing, sales, and promotional materials, as well as product labels and packaging. Provide label support and feedback.
    • Assist in creating marketing strategies and materials for new product launches.
    • Participate in brainstorming sessions to contribute innovative ideas for product development.

 

  1. Sales Collaboration
    • Partner with the sales team to align marketing strategies with sales goals.
    • Provide the sales team with promotional materials, product information, and campaign updates.
    • Assist in developing strategies to support retailer relationships and drive in-store promotions.
    • Gather feedback from the sales team to refine marketing initiatives and address customer needs.

 

  1. Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Track and analyze marketing budget, key marketing metrics, including engagement, conversion rates, and ROI.
    • Prepare reports to share results and insights with the marketing team, sales team, and leadership.

 

ESOP Members Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in ESOP-related activities, contributing to committees (events team, donations team, employee satisfaction committee and employee owner’s manual team) and company events that promote a collaborative workplace.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

  • Interest in organic food products and sustainable, health-conscious living.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
  • Candidate must be computer native. Must be fluent with all Microsoft Office products and possess excellent typing skills. Database experience is desired but not required.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage competing deadlines effectively.
  • Must be able to work independently or in groups; self-motivated and dedicated.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a consumer-focused mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills in terms of speaking, writing, and telephone interactions.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on problem solving and relationship building to be able to address customer complaints, troubleshoot and investigate issues and provide the appropriate advocacy.
  • Position may involve varying shifts to accommodate West Coast hours.

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing or a related role (internships included) is preferred but not necessary

PHYSICAL/GENERAL ACTIVITIES:

  • Reading, writing and communicating fluently in English
  • Mathematical Skills -Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.   Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Reasoning Ability - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Hearing and speaking to express ideas and/or exchange information in person or over the telephone
  • Vision - Seeing to read labels, posters, documents, PC screens, etc.
  • For plant/production positions, may involve standing for frequent and long periods of time – UP TO 4 HOURS.
  • Sitting, standing, moving about or walking for occasional or frequent periods of time
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate production machinery and equipment/maintenance of productivity equipment and/or a computer keyboard and other office equipment
  • Kneeling, bending at the waist, stooping and reaching overhead
  • Retrieving and storing files and supplies; occasionally carrying and/or lifting objects with a weight 

of up to 50 lbs. in manufacturing facility and up to 20 lbs. within office setting.
