Research Assistant Position

We are looking to hire a reliable person to join our team at Expressive Neuroscience.  The position is part-time (10-15 hrs per week) and we will provide detailed training. Expressive Neuroscience provides custom histology services for preclinical drug discovery efforts that target the central nervous system. Our clients include large pharmaceutical companies, startup biotechnology companies and academic laboratories. Expressive uses advanced microscopy and machine learning analyses to help these companies advance their internal drug discovery and gene therapy efforts. 

Responsibilities:

The Research Assistant will perform brain slicing, sample staining, solution preparation, advanced-microscopy, and assist with animal work. The Assistant will work under the supervision of senior laboratory personnel. 

Requirements:

• Availability for at least 10 hours per week, with preference for the following timeframes:
  Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 9am-1pm
  Tuesday, Thursday: 9am-5pm
• Pursuing or have earned a Bachelor’s degree in a health, science, or engineering-related field
• Previous wet-lab experience is required
