Primergy Solar, LLC is a developer, owner and operator focused on both distributed and utility scale solar PV and battery storage projects in North America. Primergy Solar features a diverse and talented team with decades of experience in renewables project development, financing, construction and operations. It is currently managing and progressing a significant portfolio of operational and development stage solar+ battery storage projects. Primergy Solar is a portfolio company of Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners and represents Quinbrook’s principal solar and solar plus energy storage investment platform in North America.

Primergy is committed to making sure the benefits of participation in the renewable energy industry are equitable, and that the industry continues to grow from diverse perspectives.    We are designing an internship program that provides students long-term exposure to the multifaceted solar and energy storage development business, with the intention of providing the skills and exposure to launch careers in this exciting field.  Primergy’s internship program also allows participants the opportunity build a network of professionals across finance, mergers and acquisitions, development, engineering, commercial strategy, and more.

What you will do as the Human Resources Intern:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Human Resources Intern to join our team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience helping the HR team with various tasks, providing support in administrative, recruitment, and employee relations duties. You will work closely with our experienced HR team to contribute to the fostering of an inclusive, fair, and welcoming workplace or community. You will also be involved in:

  • HR Policy and Compliance: Assist in ensuring HR policies are up to date and compliant with local laws.
  • Employee Engagement and Relations: Provide general support to employees with HR-related queries, including helping with employee surveys or feedback forms.
  • DEI Research & Data Analysis: Assist with gathering and analyzing diversity data to identify trends and areas of improvement.
  • Community Outreach & Partnerships: Assist in coordinating partnerships with external organizations or community groups to promote diversity and inclusion.
  • HR Operations Support: Help manage DEI-related calendars, track trainings, assist with planning and scheduling of meetings and/or events.

What you bring to the table:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters program 
  • Strong interest in renewable energy and sustainable practices.
  • Basic understanding of HR and DEI principles and concepts.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
