Volunteer and Development Coordinator

What You Will Do

 The Coordinator, Volunteer & Development provides support for the planning, implementation, execution, and tracking of grants, sponsorships, and chapter-related programs/events to raise awareness and support the mission of NPF. How You’ll Succeed

Development

•Send personalized outreach materials and thank you letters to key stakeholders.

•Solicit sponsorships from NPF Centers of Excellence and past event sponsors.

•Ensures key fundraising best practices are followed and performance benchmarks are achieved.

•Work with other NPF Departments as needed to meet revenue and reporting expectations.

•With support from the Director, cultivates, stewards, and renews corporate sponsors, committee members, event honorees, fundraising participants, and team leaders.

•Recruits and trains volunteers for assigned events.

•Works to deepen engagement and enhance involvement of existing volunteers and committee.

•Plans, implements, and attends key committee meetings

•Seeks underwriting, in-kind donations and auction items for assigned events and other chapter events as needed. 

•Build and foster relationships with Chapter Chairs and other volunteer leaders to facilitate growth and participation for NPF on a local chapter level.

•Lead and oversee all chapter volunteer engagement and volunteer onboarding.

•Oversee the NPF Signature P2P fundraiser from initial engagement to final event management including contract negotiation, fundraising page setup, donation/participate tracking, and event planning logistical support, participant coaching.

•Develop fundraising initiatives to engage volunteer-led state chapters.

•Volunteer development, recruitment and stewardship.

•Correspond with NPF stakeholders and various audiences, using professional demeanor to encourage participation and support.
Administrative

•Records and enters constituent information into CRM software to facilitate the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship processes of the Foundation.

•Record keeping within GiveSmart and the Master Event Tracker including attendee information, sponsorship tracking, and revenue tracking.

•Prepares forms, materials, and reports for assigned events; submits post-event follow up documentation in a timely manner.

•Money processing and donor recognition processing in coordination with various departments.

•Creates and prepares content for social media and communications as directed.

•Supports the Director in event logistics when needed.

•Perform other duties, as assigned
What We Are Looking For
•Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience;

•3+ years’ experience in a philanthropy, development, or grant specific role;

•Strong project and program management skills

•Volunteer management and community outreach experience

•Experience with MS Office, Teams/Zoom, Canva, and Donor Management Software such as Bloomerang, as well as CRM

•Exemplary oral and written communication skills

Where You’ll Be This position is remote. Must have a home office setup, strong Internet connection and mobile phone. Physical demands include standing, walking, and/or sitting for extended periods of time, conducting virtual meetings and communicating with others, and the ability to move supplies or equipment up to 20 pounds occasionally.

●Competitive salary: $40,000 - $50,000
