Summer 2025 Internship Program

To be eligible for the Summer 2025 Internship Program, candidates must be in their junior year, pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree with an anticipated graduation date of May 2026.

Successful candidates who complete the program may be offered the opportunity to transition into a full-time role at Strategic Financial Group upon graduation.

Job Summary

Strategic Financial Group is looking for motivated, detail-oriented, relationship-driven, and creative problem-solvers who are committed to a career in financial advising. The intern will work on key projects and provide functional support to financial advisors, their prospective and existing clients, and other team members and operations during the summer program. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills across multiple platforms (phone, email, in-person, virtual, and digital) and the ability to quickly learn and apply procedures and techniques to assigned tasks. Internship Details

  • Length: 10 weeks
  • Start Date: June 2, 2025
  • End Date: August 8, 2025
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, up to 40 hours per week

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with financial advisors to enhance client support and engagement.
  • Assist with advisor marketing, media strategies, and events.
  • Conduct investment research and provide recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Observe client meetings with financial advisors for portfolio reviews and planning sessions.
  • Contribute to projects focused on investment management, portfolio analysis, and rebalancing, while working with operations to implement innovative tools and solutions.
  • Gain proficiency in wealth management technology tools and processes, including client management and compliance.
  • Provide support for client events, webinars, networking initiatives, and other marketing efforts.
  • Assist with portfolio maintenance and reviews.
  • Actively participate in delivering high-quality financial planning services to clients.
  • Engage in collaborative projects to enhance branch operations, client services, and marketing initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of:

  • Fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a professional office environment.
  • Basic principles and practices relevant to wealth management and financial advisory services.

Skills in:

  • Operating standard office equipment and software applications, with the ability to quickly learn new tools.

Ability to:

  • Organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with team members and clients.

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require visa sponsorship now or in the future (including beyond OPT/EAD).
  • Junior standing, pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Successful candidates are strongly encouraged to pursue and complete the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam before the conclusion of the internship. This demonstrates a commitment to professional development and compliance within the financial advisory field. Successful completion of the SIE may be a factor in consideration for a full-time offer with Strategic Financial Group.
