Smoky Valley Ranch is a 19,000-acre, custom-grazed cattle and bison operation with a diversity of management goals and conservation targets. The Conservation Steward will participate in operation, maintenance, and management of Smoky Valley Ranch, which carries 700 cow-calf pairs during the grazing season, as well as about 150 bison year round.
This is a full-time, entry-level seasonal position with a flexible duration up to 6 months. The Seasonal Conservation Steward must be willing to learn about conservation issues and priorities. Housing is not provided, but limited housing accommodations may be made available, as feasible. The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
