Events & Programs Internship

The Global Business Alliance (GBA) is seeking an undergraduate or graduate student interested in events and programming, for its Spring 2025 Events & Programs Internship. The internship is an excellent way for inquisitive students interested in customer relationship and event management to gain valuable experience while advancing their educational pursuits. 

GBA is an Equal Opportunity employer and currently operates with a hybrid telecommuting and in-person work model. Being located in the Washington DC area is required for in-person work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Events Team with all in-person and virtual event planning and execution
    • Tracking RSVPs, setting up and archiving events in the Swoogo platform 
    • Supporting recurring policy call logistics via Zoom
    • Assist with designing marketing materials and other collateral in Canva
  • Assist with the execution of the GBA Spring Tax Conference 
    • Monitoring RSVPs and registration outreach
    • Assisting with researching event venue options
    • Providing registration support in advance and onsite at the event

 

Timeframe and Compensation

  • Spring 2025 (February – May)
  • up to 20 hours per week, hybrid of in-person and remote
  • $17.50/hour

 

Requirements

Must be a college junior, senior or graduate student with excellent organizational, research and writing skills with Microsoft Office proficiency. Customer relationship/association management software skills, particularly experience using myEmma, Salesforce and Swoogo, are a plus! This is a partially remote position; you will be provided a GBA laptop for working remotely but will be required to be able to work in the GBA office on Mondays, Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays.
