Quality Control Chemist Internship

Quality Control Chemist Internship

  • Location: Springfield, MO
  • Hours: ~20 hours per week during the school semester with the opportunity to work full-time ~40 hours during the summer months. The planned timeline for this role is February 2025 – August 31st 2025.
  • Pay: $18-$20/hr

We are currently seeking a Quality Control Chemist Intern to support our team at our Springfield, MO location. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to perform quality control testing on incoming and outgoing products using industry-standard instrumentation, including Gas Chromatographs, Karl Fischer titrators, and viscometers.

As a Quality Control Intern, you will:

  • Assisted with quality control testing of materials to ensure they met specifications.
  • Learn and operate analytical equipment, such as Gas Chromatographs, Karl Fischer titrators, and viscometers.
  • Support the documentation of test results and maintain quality records.
  • Collaborate with team members from various disciplines to ensure timely and accurate testing.
  • Practice exceptional attention to detail in all tasks.

What we’re looking for:

  • Currently has at least a Bachelor's degree OR is a senior pursuing a 4-year Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or a related science field.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with analytical equipment, such as Gas Chromatographs, Karl Fischer titrators, or viscometers, is a plus but not required.
  • Previous lab or quality control experience is a bonus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and initiative.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize assignments.
  • Interest in learning analytical testing techniques and quality control processes.
