Research Intern (Food-as-Medicine, Nutrition-as-a-Service)

This internship offers a unique opportunity to apply research in a real-world setting, contribute to a growing company at the intersection of agriculture, nutrition, and wellness, and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic startup environment.

2025 is a pivotal year of expansion for Radical Shoots as we grow our B2B and D2C presence in Nashville as well as our production footprint (partnering with Opryland Resort to take over their on-site greenhouses). We are seeking a research intern to explore the nutrition-as-a-service and food-as-medicine sectors. This role will focus on identifying market opportunities, building industry partnerships, and compiling research that demonstrates the link between diet and human well-being, specifically in relation to our current and future product offerings.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research on the food-as-medicine movement to identify emerging trends, market gaps, and potential opportunities.

- Compile peer-reviewed studies supporting the health benefits of our products.

- Assist in developing research-backed materials for strategic positioning and business growth.

- Optional: Support operations at our Nashville Farmers Market retail location or contribute to grant-writing efforts if interested.

Qualifications:

- Highly organized with strong communication skills.

- Experience in research, data analysis, or academic writing.

- Passionate about nutrition, wellness, and food as medicine.

- Background in nutrition, medicine, public health, or a related field preferred.
