Registrar Job Description
 

  1. Maintain School Information System—PowerSchool
    1. Create and manage PowerSchool accounts for each new student and staff
    2. File/Store digitally all documentation received for all students
    3. Ensure staff is trained on proper PowerSchool use
    4. Troubleshoot PowerSchool issues as the arise
    5. Update School Profile document
    6. Set security permissions for all new staff on PowerSchool 
    7. Create/modify PowerSchool reports as necessary
  2. Scheduling
    1. Enter daily schedule, yearly calendar, courses, and student schedules r in PowerSchool at the direction of the Dean of Academics
    2. Process schedule change requests/needs
    3. Create Final Exam Schedule in conjunction with the Dean of Academics
  3. School Calendar
    1. Assist in creation of new academic calendar and ensure proper number of school days per ISBE at the direction of the Dean of Academics
  4. Testing Coordinator
    1. Coordinate standardized testing as requested (i.e. PSAT, SAT, AP, ACT, etc.)
    2. Determine fee waiver eligibility for standardized tests
    3. Communicate with parents and staff regarding test registration
    4. Arrange for AP test administration if necessary
    5. Manage the teacher who assists with testing coordination
  5. Assist with Seniors
    1. Coordinate with College Counselor to update GPAs on Naviance
    2. Prepare transcripts for distribution to colleges, employers, and internships
  6. Academic Assistance
    1. Coordinate dual enrollment 
    2. Ensure teacher gradebooks are properly configured 
    3. Ensure courses are updated and approved in the NCAA HS Portal
    4. Finalize grades in PowerSchool at the end of each semester
    5. Manage transfer process in regards to student documents
  7. Manage, monitor, track, and report student attendance in PowerSchool
  8. Manage annual student enrollment 
  9. ISBE Reporting of student and school data, as needed
  10. Substitute teach, as needed
