Events & Marketing Intern

We seek a Marketing and Events Intern to support the execution of GMAC Tours' market-facing activities with graduate management education schools, prospective students, industry alliances, and other stakeholders worldwide.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support marketing campaign planning and execution for events across nine global regions
  • Support the events team with event logistics and registration administration
  • Assist in the creative design of digital assets and event materials, following branding guidelines and ad specs
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for new marketing tactics and yield strategies
  • Analyze and report performance of marketing initiatives and make strategic recommendations to improve results
  • Lead research and analysis to identify opportunity areas
  • Help develop and refine messaging and positioning for email marketing campaigns, website, paid media and other channels
  • Monitor all social media platforms for trends, ideas, and content feedback
  • Assist in developing and preparing event materials and coordinating shipping of materials for each event
  • Provide email support to general candidate inquiries
  • Attend the local GMAC Tours event and support with on-site event execution
  • Other responsibilities and duties, as assigned

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • A current undergraduate student majoring in marketing, event management, communications, or has a liberal arts background
  • Has had prior internship experience, preferably in Marketing or Events
  • Familiar with different areas of marketing including digital, social media, and communications, and has had experience working in one of these areas
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong attention to detail, with a keen focus on quality
  • Organized, proactive, and someone who can work independently and collaboratively
  • Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment
  • Proficient with InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, Illustrator
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms

 

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Familiarity with HubSpot, Google Analytics, Trello, JotForm, CVENT
  • Familiarity with the higher education industry or events industry

 

This summer internship is seasonal (May-August) and is based on 30 hours of work per week. While the hours are flexible, this role is hybrid and requires commuting to our Boston office twice a week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays).
