Quality Control Lab Technician Assistant
Franklin International, a leading manufacturer of adhesives, coatings, and sealants is currently seeking a Quality Control Lab Technician Assistant. The Quality Control Lab Technician Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure product quality by acting as an assistant to the laboratory technician on duty.
This position is part-time, up to 20 hours a week, with shift flexibility between the hours of 11pm on Sunday to 11pm on Friday.
Fundamental Job Tasks:
- Monitor product quality by performing defined tests to evaluate product properties and characteristics
- Inform and report test results to full-time lab technician and issues written instruction to production staff for adjustments
- Compile information obtained from testing, record test results in company’s quality systems, make verbal reports to full-time lab technician
- Organize lab samples and record movement into quality databases
- Support QC effort administratively through analysis of raw materials received and reviewing of certification analysis data
- Observe all safety and environmental guidelines while handling products, raw materials and wastes
- Uphold a clean and orderly work station, including lab space and product retain locations
Targeted Skills/Knowledge:
- High school diploma/GED with 1 year of technical experience and an active student at an institution of higher education
