Our team is growing! We are in search of an experienced, dynamic, and strategic marketing professional to take on the key role of Director of Marketing, reporting to the VP of Marketing. The Director of Marketing is accountable for the planning and execution of marketing initiatives to drive member growth, deepen member engagement, and promote the credit union's products and services. This role oversees brand, communications, marketing, digital marketing, outreach, and business development.
Key responsibilities
- Manage marketing function, provide oversight and direction to marketing initiatives.
- Partner with the VP of Marketing to develop strategies that drive business development.
- Assist in defining, tracking, and setting annual marketing budgets; participate in budget forecasting and tracking activities.
- Oversee strategy and planning for content, marketing, and digital marketing campaigns with focus on message alignment across marketing channels and functions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments within the organization.
- Develop, edit, and proofread marketing materials.
- Support internal and external communications initiatives, assist in the management of press releases, public relations, and media outreach.
- Accountable for the execution of the marketing segmentation strategy to drive growth and retention.
- Define and lead business development and outreach strategies to drive community development, awareness, engagement, and impact.
- Represent the credit union at community events, meetings, networking groups, and business development opportunities.
- Develop, coach, and train marketing staff to increase knowledge of best practice marketing standards, emerging trends, and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in marketing, communications, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience leading, managing, and supervising a marketing team.
- Strong background in both traditional and digital marketing.
- Proven success in presenting information and responding to questions for a variety of audiences, internally and externally.
- Demonstrated skills in practical problem solving and dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Intermediate to advanced skill in the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Proficient with Adobe Acrobat and database applications, as well as the ability to learn new applications quickly is necessary.
- Strong creative outlook and ability to think creatively and innovatively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Occasional evening and weekend availability is essential to support events, business development, and networking opportunities.
Wage & Hour Details
- Full-time
- Exempt
- $106,000 - $124,000 starting salary, pay commensurate with experience
