Montessori 7th-9th Grade Teacher

Beginning August 2025, the Montessori School of Greater Hartford has available a unique full-time, 7th-9th grade teaching position at its farm campus, where work on the land merges with academic studies. The applicant, a college graduate, should enjoy designing and implementing interdisciplinary project-based and experiential learning opportunities in a small, friendly, collaborative school community. The candidate should have a deep appreciation for the natural world and agriculture and be able to plan lessons and farm-based projects that regularly entail physical movement and purposeful work, as well as deep abstract study. An ability to engage young adolescents in a variety of activities and to enjoy working alongside them both outdoors and in the classroom is essential. An ability to teach math (through advanced algebra and geometry) and science is preferred.

MSGH, established in 1964, is an AMI recognized school that serves approximately 230 children from 15 months to 15 years.
