Director of Digital Mobilization and Marketing
Interfaith Alliance is a network of people of diverse faiths and beliefs working together to build a resilient, inclusive democracy and fulfill America’s promise of religious freedom and civil rights not just for some, but for all. The candidate in this new position will join an energetic, committed, and growing team working in D.C. and across the country to “achieve democracy together.” To share our message, we employ all of the communications tools available, including social media, targeted email, action alerts, print collateral, and content production. We build integrated campaigns with messages designed to break through noise, educate and frame issues, and offer people language that gives hope and inspires mobilization and collective action. A director level role at Interfaith Alliance entails a range of responsibilities from strategy and thought leadership to execution of day to day tasks.
The Director of Digital Mobilization and Marketing is set to start on March 1, 2025, and is based in Washington, DC. Applications are due by February 15, 2025 and will be considered on a rolling basis.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a data-driven digital and direct mail engagement strategy in collaboration with the team to reach varied audiences: policymakers, organizational partners, donors and the public;
- Create coordinated digital and print content across multiple channels to educate, inspire, influence and mobilize that advances the mission and conforms to established brand standards;
- Analyze and provide reports on performance, growth and engagement metrics across multiple platforms;
- Maintain and update a newly developed interactive website and act as the primary liaison with web developers and designers; analyze website use and engagement;
- Manage and expand the donor community with a focus on acquisition (including paid acquisition and media buys), and reporting on related metrics (i.e. recurring commitments and donor retention);
- Collaborate with the development team to align marketing and communications with programmatic deliverables related to grants;
- Use Every Action database to input and track donor data;
- Interface with direct mail and other vendors and consultants;
- Coordinate the communications and marketing calendar;
- Stay informed on the programmatic work of Interfaith Alliance to effectively communicate its mission and impact.
Qualifications:
- Experience with EveryAction database, website management, content management systems, digital campaigns, and marketing/fundraising platforms. Familiar with HTML/CSS;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with expertise in creating clear, concise digital and print copy, and excellent editing and proofreading abilities;
- Skilled in designing high-quality educational and marketing materials for diverse audiences, both digital and print, to inspire and engage;
- Experience in graphic design using Canva and Adobe products, adhering to established brand standards;
- Knowledgeable in social media platforms and proficient with measurement tools like Google Analytics to drive data-driven decisions;
- Strategic, creative, collaborative, and committed to continuous learning;
- Aligned with the mission and vision of Interfaith Alliance, flexible to work evening/weekend events and meet deadlines;
- Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving, time management, and project management skills; able to handle multiple assignments under tight deadlines;
- Photography/videography skills preferred;
- Demonstrated ability to build trust, foster positive relationships, and work effectively in a team with cultural awareness and excellent interpersonal skills;
- Willingness to work at a strategic and tactical level.
Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience. D.C. Location preferred.
Salary: $85K-110K commensurate with experience
