Senior Program Analyst - Ventures
About the Role
At BMNT, Senior Analysts play an integral role in the consultative process that forms the basis for everything we do for our clients. They drive various aspects and key decision points within the project life cycle. A high-performing Senior Analyst will therefore demonstrate expertise in everything we do at BMNT, and is able to effectively communicate BMNT’s competitive advantage in order to build credibility and trust with our clients.
BMNT Ventures partners with founders and executives to build next generation companies. We focus on partnering with dual-use, Deep Tech companies to grow their businesses in the commercial and government markets.
As part of the Ventures team, the Senior Program Analyst (SPA) assists in the execution of Ventures programs. You’ll play a critical role in shaping the success of early-stage Deep Tech startups by driving program operations, fostering meaningful connections, and delivering actionable insights to support their growth in both commercial and government markets.
Ventures has several accelerator programs that take place in parallel with each other, and the SPA is responsible for supporting the team in planning these programs and delivering the in-person and virtual activities that foster community engagement. In addition, s/he should have market research and analytical skills in order to help advisors and company executives make informed decisions. Finally, the SPA will support the administrative duties, operations and the execution of the programs. This position is ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced and unstructured environment and have a proven track record in outreach support and building relationships with internal teams and external organizations.
Location: This is a hybrid position within commuting distance to our Palo Alto, CA or Arlington, VA office with the expectation of being in the office 2-3 days per week and sometimes more, often based on customer needs.
What You’ll Be Doing (Responsibilities):
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conducting market analysis to support the core team, advisors and portfolio companies. This includes conducting independent research and developing project plans to support a cohort or an individual company.
- Quickly understands the scope and root of a problem, synthesizes and analyzes data, and presents findings in a clear, succinct, and polished manner.
Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Leading customer meetings and phone calls, including the ability to answer in-depth questions about Ventures.
- Leading elements of the customer relationship, including setting agendas and closing-out action items.
- Building a network of contacts across startup, investor, academic, and government communities.
Content Development and Outreach:
- Developing content for digital presence - and ensure optimal digital engagement across the Ventures website, Linkedin, Slack, in order to engage and support Ventures communities.
- Providing support for developing and maintaining website content, policies, presentations, and other written documents.
- Developing communications and outreach materials for specific audiences and stakeholders to support targeted outreach efforts.
Program Operations:
- Leading parts of the operations of the Ventures programs, events, and daily operations, including supporting key personnel and company advisors.
- Supporting the team by arranging meetings, preparing materials, following up with outreach tasks, and tracking team targets.

Experience and Qualifications You’ll Need to Thrive in the Role:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- At least four years of relevant professional experience or two years as a BMNT Analyst.
- Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully participate in a team environment to accomplish assignments requiring group efforts.
- The ability to provide - in written or verbal form - valuable, succinct and actionable insights from complicated information; able to write content quickly for various types of products, artifacts and presentations.
- Curiosity and an always-be-learning attitude, including recognizing when help is needed and seeking new ideas or perspectives to accomplish an objective.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage and prioritize many concurrent tasks.
- A self-starter with an obsession for outcomes, not activities and history of achievements.
- Humility and a commitment to self-improvement and self-awareness, including proactively seeking and welcoming constructive feedback from colleagues.
- The patience and creativity to overcome barriers to success.
- Proficiency in MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat (or Google Equivalent).

- Knowledge of government innovation ecosystems.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The salary range is $81,000-$110,000. The salary range for California candidates is $90,000-$110,000 annually and the salary range for Virginia applicants is $81,000-$99,000 annually.
