What we do:

At the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, our primary goal is to protect the environment and public health. We do this by ensuring compliance with federal and state environmental laws.

What we need YOU to do:

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest intern on the Legal team, working at our Central Office in beautiful downtown Columbus.

• MUST CURRENTLY BE ENROLLED IN AN ACCREDITED LAW SCHOOL.
• Assist in the preparation of enforcement cases, general counsel assignments, drafting rules adopted by Ohio EPA and other tasks of the Office of Legal Services.
• Conduct legal research.
• Draft memoranda.
• Participate in meetings with Agency staff.
• May attend hearings before JCARR, proceedings before ERAC and the Ohio EPA Hearing Examiner, and site visits.
• Assist the legal staff in responding to inquiries from the public and governmental officials.
• Perform related duties as required, such as maintaining confidential records.
