Student Support Assistant
Our part time Student Support Assistant role plays an essential role in guiding students through the college community with the admissions application process, financial aid application process, registering for classes, and answering questions concerning admissions and financial aid eligibility issues.
Location of Work: Stark State College Main Campus, North Canton
Pay: $17.18 - $22.32 Hourly
Typical Hours of Work: (up to 29 hours worked, with shifts as described below)
Mon through Wed 8:00a-2:00p
Thursday and Fridays 8:00am - 1:30pm
Some flexibility is needed during peak times

Typical Responsibilities Include:
- Greet students and visitors, directing them to the appropriate offices or persons; provides factual information or materials to routine inquiries.
- Coordinate effective office procedures and efficient work flow while maintaining excellent customer service, confidentiality, and professional demeanor.
- Assist and guide students through the processes associated with applying to the college, placement testing, obtaining transcripts, scheduling classes, and the financial aid application processes which include FAFSA on the web, online MPN, entrance counseling, and completion of all necessary paperwork and forms.
- Maintain accurate processing of academic records that comply with federal, state, and institutional regulations by assuring accurate data entry from the beginning to the end of the enrollment process.
To be Considered You’ll Need:
- Associate degree in business, accounting or related field is required.
- Minimum of one year of experience working in an office environment with a high functioning team is required.
